How to live life in work knowing you're in stressful situations

How to live life in work knowing you're in stressful situations

so i've just started a new job at Thorpe park.. 1st couple of weeks were amazing in the job, but then all was not as it seemed. Dark forces were at work. This is my story of how i over come everything i went through

We had talk of drugs involved and i found out that two of my colleagues were dealing on park and it took a lot of courage to tell my support person that i felt uncomfortable knowing this was in my unit.

make sure if you feel anxious about this type of thing happening please do go straight to your department manager or your team leader and take them to the side and explain the situation and tell them about how you feel rather than keeping it hidden inside like i did then thinking it over too much and worrying yourself silly.

when you work shift work in customer service, communication is the main skill any employer will ask for in a front line job and you will need to communicate about your roster/rota so you and your manager know when you are working what days at what time. i didn't have any of this when i first started as Thorpe park completely messed me around and of course this made me incredibly angry. However i then had a meeting with manager and team leader and the manager said 2 days 1000 hours and the other 2 1045 hours so that this was a settled routine in the department for me because of the travel that i have to and from work.

so to my tips

1) get yourself into a good settled routine

2) make sure you have clear signals and communication with your manager and/or your team leader so that you're both on the same page as each other

3) if you have a special need like mine, make sure you have someone in the team or management that can act as the special needs person to help in any situation

if you have all of this, you are good to go for an amazing career in merlin/aramark at thorpe park
