Voluntary work and what I’m currently doing

 Hi everyone so it’s been a little while since I’ve posted last. 

So for those of you who don’t know me, I’m jake, I’m 21 I’m an official Passed out senior station master at Didcot Railway Centre. I do this in a volunteer role position within the operations department of the company. 

If you’re currently looking for a job, I would advise going into volunteering like myself as it helps to get you experience for your cv and it makes you feel good about yourself. 

I’m currently looking for a full time position within the railway customer services, but whilst that is in progress, I’m doing a lot of volunteer work at my railway. I love my job as station master! 

If u need something to come out the house for on a Saturday mainly or a Wednesday in school holidays, feel free to to visit us at didcot railway centre. 


My other hobby I currently have is for those who know me from TikTok! I am a patron of Greavsey’s Tuck Shop. It was started by my close friends Beth and Tim, they hired me as patron which is a huge honour to perform as that role! We sell the yummiest pick n mix sweets anywhere on earth! We pack everything on live and the sweets are just so delicious so do come and give us a follow on TikTok and insta! 

It’s such a wonderful and rewarding job as patron because I’m the top customer and supporter of the company and it’s just a huge honour to have these titles!

Dealing with the after effects of a funeral and preparing for an interview

 Hi everyone, its been a while since I last posted,  I thought I would come on and discuss about the after affects of going to a funeral as im going through that at the current time. So I attended a funeral the 8th February for a lady who went to my church, she was a lovely friend of mine and well loved throughout.  From my personal experience, I came out the funeral and I found myself getting a little bit emotional and it was a feeling I've never felt before, grieving the loss of a close friend.  It was hard coming out of a lovely service and It was a little bit overwhelming, it was lovely making conversation with the family of the person who had passed. I appreciate that it can be hard for people to make conversation straight after a funeral service, especially at a crematorium.   I think for me, the part that hits me the most is when the funeral director put the flowers down outside after the service had finished  But now the after effects come......

Social media jobs and living with trolls

Hi everyone,  As a lot of you might know from my socials, a while back, I was promoted to Patron of Greavsey's Tuck Shop run by a lovely couple.  Being a patron is very high demanding as it involves being very hands on with every customer and spreading as much positivity as possible and interacting with everyone on the lives, making sure that the chat on the lives is super positive energy and filled with happiness and answering customer enquiries so that we deliver a 5 star service to everyone  Now whilst this is all good for our sweet shop lives, there is a darker side to it.  A lot of you who have been on the lives will know, there have been a huge amount of trolls and hate comments that have been posted about the managers which I'm not happy with and I know that the managers aren't.  As the Patron, I would like to address the situation.  If you are on social media and you are under 18 and commenting nasty things just so you feel better because you enjoy ...
